Santosh Community Centre was founded in 2010 by Praful Bhatt, Deviben Mistry and family. It was set up to provide higher quality day care that treated older people with the love and respect they deserve. We select staff that share our passion for caring for people. All of our staff volunteer at the centre in addition to their paid hours.
We are a genuine ‘not for profit’ community organisation. Our profits are fed back into improving the activities at the centre for the local community. We have recently added a cinema screen to our first floor hall, so that community groups can enjoy films and share online media.
Santosh Community Centre is now a thriving community hub with a popular day centre in the day, and renting out our halls to the local community in the evenings and weekends.
Praful also runs two other sister organisations: Santosh Catering and Santosh Seva:
Santosh catering provide delicious vegetarian Indian cuisine for parties, weddings, funerals and other events, small or large.
We provide freshly cooked food for events, giving you the freedom to decide your menu, tailoring to any specific requirements you may have (i.e. no garlic or onion). You can get as creative as you like with your menu; choose anything from chana bhatura to undhyu and puri. We also prepare fresh mithai (dessert) for you to complete that fantastic meal.
Food can be prepared for you on site (providing facilities are available at your chosen venue), or we can deliver the food to the venue once prepared. We are so confident about the quality of our food we also offer a trial service for large food orders: so you can’t go wrong.
Santosh Seva is an Indian charity that feeds 500 children three times a week in Praful’s home village of Bhanvad in Gujarat, India. They also feed the cows daily, have provided fresh clean water to the town, and provide tiffins to the elderly. Santosh Catering donates much of its income from events to this Charity.
To support this charity with a donation please come and speak to Praful.
